Blake D Ratner, WorldFish, CGIAR, Malaysia
Blake Ratner leads the Collaborating for Resilience initiative, which aims to build dialogue among groups competing over environmental resources, launch innovations that reduce the risk of social conflict, and strengthen institutions for equitable environmental governance. An environmental sociologist, Blake has led action research programs in Southeast Asia and East Africa to catalyze collaboration for resilient rural livelihoods. Currently Research Director at WorldFish, a CGIAR center based in Malaysia, Blake worked previously with the World Resources Institute and the World Bank. With over 20 years applied research and program leadership experience, he has published more than 60 articles, papers, policy reports and edited volumes on rights, equity, and accountability in environmental decision-making. Blake is fluent in French, Spanish, and Khmer, and holds a Ph.D. from Cornell University.
